Gear Heads - Jacket, Water Resistant

Outside of a sheet of plastic, there aren’t really any total waterproof jackets. Given enough rain, most water resistant jackets bleed through. Unfortunately, wearing a pure plastic sheet doesn’t work either, because the heat generated internally results in enough sweat that you might as well have been rained on. A good water resistant jacket is the best you can do. We tend to like GORE-TEX™ products, which can be found in many brands.
