Observe the breathtaking view from Gokyo Ri of Mount Everest and the valley in front of it. Hiking early in the season we were treated to near solitude during the hike. However, the cost of this solitude was snow covered trails as well as iced-over lakes. The tradeoff was worth it, espeically since we lucked out with beautiful weather with daytime temperatures well above freezing.
